I Bird, I Vote


Register today for the (virtual) 2022 "I Bird. I Vote." Conservation Summit, Feb. 11-12

Audubon Mid-Atlantic invites you to take action with us at the 2022 “I Bird. I Vote.” Conservation Summit, which will be held virtually on Friday evening, February 11, and Saturday, February 12, 2022. Registration is free.

Scientists, conservationists, and legislators will address the latest priorities for protecting birds at the community, state, and national scale. Summit speakers from Maryland’s elected leadership, Audubon, and our partner organizations will discuss how each of us can help become better advocates for people and birds.

Please sign up to participate for each session as listed below. Donations are welcome. Closed captioning will be available.

Friday, February 11, evening session: 5:30 – 7:30 pm ET
Join Friday evening to learn about federal priorities for bird conservation policy and the science behind it. Speakers will include National Audubon Society’s Chief Conservation Officer Marshall Johnson and Senior Director of Government Affairs Jesse Walls in addition to leaders from federal environmental agencies.

Saturday, February 12, morning session: 10:00 am – 12 noon ET
On Saturday morning, find out about local and state bird advocacy priorities for 2022. State Senator Paul Pinsky and Delegate Robbyn Lewis, along with representatives from the state’s top environmental organizations, will highlight bird-relevant bills in Annapolis this session. Audience participation will be welcome during a Q & A discussion.

Saturday, February 12, afternoon session: 1:00 – 2:30 pm ET
Saturday afternoon will be an up-close look at Audubon Mid-Atlantic’s bird conservation accomplishments. Participants will learn about coastal conservation in Maryland, the Lights Out Philadelphia program, and Baltimore's Patterson Park Audubon Center. Audubon’s Green Leaders also will participate with a presentation.
