Timberdoodle Search at Governor Bridge Natural Area – Saturday, February 26, 5:30 pm. Lynette Fullerton will lead a search at dusk in an attempt to see and hear the enchanting courtship display of American Woodcocks (aka Timberdoodles). Though woodcocks have declined in our region, Lynette knows a few spots where they still give their aerial wing-whistling display. She will scout likely locations ahead of time and will lead us to the best place(s). Remember that this will be a late afternoon-evening trip (dusk). Meet at 5:30 pm at the Governor Bridge Natural Area parking lot. Don’t be late – timing is important for the best opportunity of viewing the display.
