Ana Maria Castano Rivas presenting on Columbia's Global Big Day (highest number of reported species)

Ana Maria Castano Rivas is the Deputy Director of Conservation, Conservation Park, Medellin, Columbia. This park features mammals, bird, and reptiles - many of which have been rescued - in their natural habitats. Castano Rivas is also Columbia’s Global Big Day Coordinator and the May, 2018 eBirder of the month.  She is a Bilingual Forest Engineer with over 20 years in project management and execution and the founding member of several non-profit organizations focused on education, conservation, communities and research.  She also leads ecotours and was the Vice President of the National Network of Bird Watchers Columbia for 14 years.
